Course Description:
This course meets the Dental Board of California (DBC) standards for a comprehensive review of the California Dental Practice Act (CDPA). All licensed dental professionals are mandated by the California Code of Regulation 1600 to receive instruction before each license renewal period. The course covers basics about the governing board, statutory mandates about the scope of dental practice for auxiliaries, laws governing the prescription of drugs, mandatory reporting requirements for abuse, license renewal information, ethics and the law based on state and national associations’ interpretations for dental professionals. This course also includes the most recent December 2019 board updates and alerts from the Dental Board, including Board Recommendations for Pediatric Sedation.
