Course Description:
This course reviews signs and symptoms of domestic violence and assessment tools used to identify victims encountered in dental practice. Domestic violence is a major public health problem in the United States. It is classified as a crime in all fifty states. Domestic violence refers to physical, verbal, psychological, sexual or economic abuse used to exert power or control over someone or to prevent someone from free choice. Dental professionals need tools to help them identify signs and symptoms of domestic violence.

We also offer a Florida Domestic Violence course to fulfill the requirements of the dental board in Florida for license renewal and lists Florida resources.
