Course Description

MyDentalCE’s Nitrous Oxide Review – OSHA Focus CE course is an online refresher for dentists and clinical team members who administer or assist with nitrous oxide (N₂O) sedation. The course reviews essential N₂O properties, indications and contraindications, and safe techniques for managing patient anxiety and pain, while emphasizing OSHA standards and exposure control. Participants will review best practices for administration, monitoring, equipment use, scavenging, and ventilation to reduce occupational exposure, along with key OSHA requirements such as exposure limits, hazard communication, PPE, and recordkeeping. This streamlined course helps dental practices enhance patient safety, protect the dental team, and stay compliant with current guidelines.
